Deborah "Debbie" Sheryl Blankenship, age 74, passed on July 28, 2025 in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born on October 11, 1950 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to the late Clarence and Dorothy (Escott) Dormois. Debbie carried the spirit of faith throughout her life, a journey that began in the church under the guidance of her grandfather who was a preacher. For nearly five decades, she was a beloved fixture at Elmdale Baptist Church in Springdale, Arkansas, where her dedication extended to teaching Sunday school classes, singing in the choir and volunteering with Summer Vacation Bible School. She had a heart to educate children about the Lord. Her passion to nurture young people also blossomed in her 28-year career as a kindergarten teacher. She was a gifted and talented teacher. Her gentle nature and unwavering kindness endeared her to all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Blankenship; son, Brian Blankenship and his wife Liliana of Washington, Illinois; daughter, Christy and her husband Charlie Lairamore of Lowell, Arkansas; two brothers, Larry and Sarah Dormois of Germantown, Tennessee, Keith and Thelma Dormois of Spiro, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Hailey Lairamore, Kaiden Lairamore, Briana Blankenship, Lily Blankenship, Aime Blankenship, with a host of extended family.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2025 at Heritage Funeral Home of Springdale. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Elmdale Baptist Church in Springdale, Arkansas with Brother Billy Chidester officiating. Burial to follow at Bluff Cemetery of Springdale, Arkansas.

Pallbearers are Brian Blankenship, Charlie Lairamore, Kaiden Lairamore, John Kingston, Lane Parrish and Braeden Acosta.
