Darrell Dwayne Day, age 50, died Sunday, July 31, 2022, in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born in Colombia, Missouri on July 21, 1972, to Jessie and Lola Mae (Reid) Day. On March 27, 1989, Darrell met the love of his life, Melinda Blackston.  Together they raised their family. He was a welder and then became a landscaper. Darrell was an amazing father, papa bear, and friend. Darrell loved to hunt, fish, drink beer, however, the most important thing in his life was his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Jessie and his daughter, Vadalia Day.

He is survived by his wife, Melinda Blackston Day of Springdale; mother, Lola Mae Reid of Hindsville; mother and father-in-law, Gladys and Red Blackston of Springdale; sons, Clinton Lewis of Springdale, Dallas Day and his wife Viola of Hindsville; daughter, Shyann Lacoy and her husband Nicholas of Springdale; brother, Tony Ray Blackston of Marble; sister, Pauletta Pink and her husband George of Springdale; grandchildren, Nicholas Jr., Cali Mae, Hailynn Lacoy and Oaklin Day and a host of extended family.

A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Heritage Funeral Home of Springdale.
