Connie Sue Higbee, age 64 passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023 in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born on June 12, 1959 in Berryville, Arkansas to the late Alvin Thomas Madewell and Alta Mae (Sisco) Madewell. Connie worked in the Imports Department at the Wal-Mart home office. She leaves behind a tapestry of memories, each thread woven with love, kindness, and grace. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Darlene Madewell and Bernice Schatz.

Connie is survived by her son, Joe (Lilian) Bartlett of Rogers, Arkansas; life partner, Jim Billis of Bentonville, Arkansas; two grandsons, Joseph Bartlett and Anthony Bartlett of Rogers, Arkansas; three siblings, Wayne Madewell of Cave Springs, Arkansas, Alta Emele Madewell and Rose (Rick) Smith all of Springdale, Arkansas; five nieces and nephews, Gary Madewell, Cheyenne Burton, Ashley Owen, Amanda Worthy and Eric Satterfield.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Marble United Baptist Church in Huntsville, Arkansas. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral home.
