Clifford Earl Burton, age 66, of Winslow, died Saturday, December 18, 2021. He was born November 13, 1955, in Peoria, Illinois. Clifford retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant after serving 21 as an aerospace mechanic. He was a farmer, a talented wood craftsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. He was a great neighbor, friend, loving father and husband, and above all loved time with his grandchildren.
Clifford, at the time of his death, was survived by his wife of 30 years, Sandra, who has since passed on December 23. He is also survived by four daughters, Carol Howay and husband Brian, Kristy Burton and husband Eric Deaver, Jennifer Pense and husband Joshua, Jessica Cope and husband Seth; three brothers, Eugene, Glendon, Brian; three sisters, Sandra, Glynis, Dorinda; and eight grandchildren, Austin, Brooke, Christopher, Asher, Ender, Logan, Ezariah, and Elijah. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maren and Jim Friedman.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 27, at the funeral home. A graveside service will immediately follow that of Sandra's beginning at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, at
Fayetteville National Cemetery
with full military honors.
