Christy Lynn McKain, age 47, passed away on October 28, 2022 in Springdale. She was born May 30, 1975 in Springdale to Clifford and Debra (Marchant) McKain. 

 Christy was a graduate of Bentonville High School, and later went on to work for the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad. During her 10 years working for the railroad, Christy became an integral part of the restoration of the J Reilly McCarren Transportation Museum, as well as the Explorer and Silver Feather Dome cars currently in operation on the passenger train. In addition to her love for trains, Christy enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and tinkering. Christy's humor, giving nature, and willingness to try anything once made her loved by all those who crossed paths with her. 

 Christy was a beloved parental figure to Ty Foster of Sonora. She is also survived by her father, Clifford McKain (Hop) of Rogers; mother, Debra Smith (Gary) of Rogers; sister, Angela Luedecke (Steve) of Bentonville; nephew, Patrick Luedecke of Bentonville; three nieces, Lindsey Jones (Gillis) of Bentonville, Ashley Damron (Parker) of Jonesboro, and Grace Luedecke of Rogers; and multiple great-nieces. 

 A memorial gathering will be 3 p.m. Sunday, November 20, at  Arkansas & Missouri Railroad  .  Memorial contributions may be made to a local animal shelter of choice.
