Charles Avner Young, 76, of Springdale, died Friday, October 4, 2019, at Circle of Life at Legacy Village in Bentonville. He was born August 9, 1943, in Wichita, Kansas, to Farrell Edward "Bo" and Lavenia Evelyn Jackson Young.

Charles served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He later retired from Ball Canning Co. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors and socializing with senior citizens. Charles loved to talk and never met a stranger.

Charles is survived by his wife, Mildred Rae Young; daughters, Lisa Young and Julie Terry; one sister, Gayle Gay; and two brothers, Clifford Young and Steven Young.

A private burial was Tuesday, October 8, at Elm Springs Cemetery .
