Charles David Orr "Chief Orr", age 49 of Gravette passed away on Saturday, December 13,2025 in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born on January 17,1976 to the late Charles Earl Orr and Connie Carter. As a leader, Chief Orr had extensive training and education including an A.S. in Paramedic studies, Firefighter 1 and 2, Fire Officer 1, 2 and 3, Instructor 1 and 2, HazMat Awareness & Operations, and Fire Inspector, just to name a few. Chief Orr became a firefighter because he was a firm believer in leaving this world a better place. He was grateful that he had a career that allowed him to do just that. In his free time, Chief Orr enjoyed hunting and fishing, listening to music, playing games and hanging out with his family. He loved camping and the outdoors.
Chief Orr is survived by his wife, Cassandra Martinez; five children, David Martinez, Shaylene Martinez, Trace Martinez, Malcom Martinez and Joslyn Martinez; brother, Bobby Orr and his wife, Linda of Colcord, Oklahoma; sister, Angeliah Allen and her husband, Colton of Siloam Springs; host of extended family and friends.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2025 at Gravette Middle School Volleyball gym, 607 Dallas St. SE, Gravette, AR 72736. Fire Chaplain Donald Miller will officiate the service. Burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Gentry, Arkansas. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2025 at Gravette Middle School Volleyball gym.
