Caroline LaVern Thompson Cook, age 95 of Fayetteville, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2026 in Fayetteville. She was born on October 4, 1930 in Glenpool, Oklahoma to the late Marion Elliott and Pairlee Montgomery Thompson. She was raised in the Savoy area where she was the baby of ten other siblings. Caroline was a member of the Robinson Avenue Church of Christ in Springdale. In addition to her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jackie Ray Cook and Norman D. Cook. Her favorite acronym was FROG: Fully Rely On God.
She is survived by eight children; Rickie Dean Cook, Dickie Jean Cook. Marvin Blaine Cook, all of Virginia, Kevin Douglas Cook of Prairie Grove, Jeffrey Scott Cook of Lincoln, Arkansas, Cheryl Winona Rogers of Springdale, Jonathan Lynn Cook of California and Justin Leftwich of Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Robinson Avenue Church of Christ in Springdale with Keith Kilmer officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Yell Cemetery in Siloam Springs.
