Billie Jean Chapman, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. She was born on May 26, 1948 in Newton County, Arkansas to the late Archie and Dorothy (Reynolds) Sams. Billie enjoyed cooking and fishing. She retired from Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. She will be remembered for her kind and giving spirit. Billie was a dependable source of support for her family. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry (Jody) William Alverson; second husband, Roy (Chappy) Donald Chapman; daughter, Diantha Randall; granddaughter, Kennedee Johnson; two brothers, Idus Sams and Joe Sams; two sisters, Ovie Huber and Eunice Corney.

Billie is survived by three children, Melissa (Dustin Hefley) Alverson of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, Toby Chapman of Panama, Nebraska, Tammy Chapman of Missouri; five grandchildren, McKenna (Kody Frank) Johnson of Rogers, Arkansas, Westley Randall, Cody Chapman, Kayla Chapman and Kelsi Chapman; four great grandchildren, Emalee Randall, Jaxton Randall, Alexis Sherrets and Priscilla Burch; sister, Modina Wise of Tonganoxie, Kansas; brother, Eugene Sams of Ava, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2023 at the funeral home with Robert Huber officiating the service. Interment will follow at Goad Springs Cemetery in Lowell, Arkansas.
