Obituary

Betty Sue Graham, 90, of Durham, passed away Wednesday September 29, at Jacob's Care Center in Springfield, Missouri. She was born January 7, 1931 (but she celebrated her birthday on January 15) in Burdette, Mississippi County, Arkansas to James McKinley and Emma E. Stanford Brewer. Betty was a very tough hill lady. Widowed with three young children, she worked extremely hard foe everything they had. She was a share cropper and worked in different canneries and poultry companies until becoming disabled. She loved family, fishing, gardening, rock collecting, and watching westerns, especially Terence Hill and John Wayne. She was notorious for speaking her mind, no matter what it was.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, George E. Snow, six brothers, six sisters, stepson, Johnny Snow, stepdaughter Mamie Louis Moentmann, and one son Larry Joe Norman. At the time of her death she is survived by two daughters, Barbara Copeland (who has since passed on September 30, 2021) and husband James of Springdale, Diana Brooks and husband Gene of Galena, Missouri, and many grand and great-grandchildren and her precious dogs and companions, Tiny and Lindsey.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 2, at Oakland Cemetery in Fayetteville.
