Barbara Elaine (Calvert) Kearney, born April 1, 1950, in Matador, Texas, passed peacefully in her sleep at her home in Lowell, Arkansas, on August 5, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Winona and Basil Calvert. Elaine had a deep love for God, her husband, and her family—including the many friends she considered family. She found joy in traveling with Burton and their dog, Charly, in their RV and looked forward to camping with her family each summer. Music was a meaningful part of Elaine's life. She sang and played the accordion, sharing her gift in church services and at Kearney family reunions, where singing together was a cherished family tradition. She and Burton loved to sing and taught their daughters to sing as well, creating a home filled with music, love, and lasting memories. In her leisure time, Elaine enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, and scrapbooking—each hobby a reflection of the care and creativity she brought to everything she did.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Burton Kearney; her sister, Dona Porter; her brother, Kevin Calvert; stepbrother David Walmer; and stepsister Carol Simontacchi.

Elaine leaves behind her three daughters; Paula (Jim) Carey, Heather Kearney and Kimberly Kearney, as well as her granddaughter Addison Carey. She is also survived by her brother Dewey (Brenda) Calvert; her stepbrothers Philip (Linda) Walmer, Gary (Elsie) Walmer, Timothy (Lucy) Walmer; and many extended family members.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Barbara Elaine Kearney will be at Calvary Church Lowell on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. The church is located at 107 McClure Ave, Lowell, Arkansas.

A second service will be at the Olympic Christian Center on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. The church is located at 117 S 8th St, McCleary, Washington.
