Barbara Ann Bowen, age 74, of Springdale, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born on December 5, 1947 to the late Otis Edward "Johnny" Jr. and Freda Merle (Eaton) Cole. On August 4, 1965, she married the love of her life Harold Bowen in Springdale, Arkansas. Barbara spent many years working as a House Mom for the University of Arkansas. Her true passion was her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was a longtime member of Calvary Freewill Baptist Church of Springdale, where she enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher. One for her favorite things she enjoyed doing was going on her "girl trips" to Branson with her cousins and friends.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Harold of the home; daughter, Shelly Sanders and her husband, Scotty of Lowell, Arkansas; son, Mark Bowen and his wife, Dawnna of Hindsville, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Maeleigh Bowen, Klayton Bowen, MacKenzie Sanders, Kyler Sanders, Kamryn Sanders; brother, Ricky Cole of Springdale, Arkansas; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2022 at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Clark Snow officiating. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Joyce Cemetery . The family requests memorials be made to Children's Church at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church .
