Obituary

Barbara Lee Armantrout, age 79, of West Fork passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born on March 2, 1945, in Green Forest, Arkansas to the late Loyd M. Flippo, and Marie Flippo. Barbara worked as a truck driver, and later manager, where her skills for attention to detail proved irreplaceable. She was an avid reader, who enjoyed a good cup of coffee with those she loved and spending
her days with her beloved "pupple" Becca. Beauty comes from a well-lived life that is a gift to those you leave behind. Barbara was this definition of beauty. She lived a life full of love! She was such an amazing woman that she considered everyone who crossed her doorstep as family and introduced herself as grandma to all that she met. We all can remember her contagious laughter, non-judgmental advice, wisdom in the stories she shared, her filterless "firecracker" spirit, tight, warm hugs, and radiant smile. She leaves behind unforgettable memories with all she loved, and that is her legacy that will never die.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Leon Armantrout; son, Steve Armantrout; daughter in law, Dawn Marie Armantrout; grandson, Chris David Taylor; sister, Angie Kellett; brother, L.D. Flippo.

Barbara is survived by daughter, Sheila Weber; Tina Cousins; nine grandchildren, Cody Armantrout, Racheal and Paul Nelson, Chaz Armantrout, Johnathan Weber, Shauna Weber, and Jessica Burnett, and thirteen great grandchildren, Kegan Nelson, Logan Nelson and Joey Bonner; her beloved dog "pupple" Becca.
