Angie Louise Newton, age 92, passed away May 2, 2025 of Springdale, Arkansas. She was born March 8, 1933 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to the late John and Mattie (Combs) Glenn. Angie's career included 17 years of service at Tyson Chicken. Deeply devoted to her faith, she was a longtime member of Ray of Hope Free Will Baptist Church. Angie cherished singing during services. Her green thumb was evident in the colorful displays of flowers around her home, with Irises and Peonies holding a special place in her heart. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Newton, stepmother, Jane Glenn, , stepbrother Bill, two daughters, Jennie Marie Newton and Louise Annette Newton.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Brown and husband, William of Garfield, Arkansas, Charles Newton of Rogersville, Missouri and Theodore Newton and wife, Anita of Springdale, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Trevor Brown, Billy Joe Brown, Jacob Newton, Richard Hatch, Ashly Black, Donald Hatch; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a host of extended family.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Ray of Hope Free Will Baptist Church in Springdale with Pastor James Howell and Brother Jerry Hinshaw officiating. Interment to follow at Drakes Creek Cemetery of Madison County, Arkansas.
