Ancelmo V. Alcorta, age 95, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born on May 5, 1929 in Santiago Yucuyachi, Oaxaca, Mexico to the late Amado Alcorta Guzman and Sidronia Lazaro Franco. Ancelmo married Eva Valdez Maldonado on October 20, 1973 in Santiago Yucuyachi, Oaxaca, Mexico. He provided for his family working as a crop farmer demonstrating to his children the value of faith, perseverance and a strong sense of work ethic. Ancelmo was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Huntsville, Arkansas.
Ancelmo is survived by his wife of 51 years, Eva O. Alcorta; sons, Ancelmo V. Alcorta, Fredy Alcorta; daughters, Maria De Jesus Juarez, Susana Alcorta, Martha Alcorta, Felicita Olga Torres (Alcorta) Maricela M. Alcorta; grandchildren, Daisy Vargas-Alcorta, Alejandra Infante, Rosa Infante, Mayra Alvarado, Ruben Juarez, Daniel Juarez, Yaretzi Vasquez, Sinai Vasquez, Ulisses Vasquez. Andy Torres- Alcorta, Kevin J. Torres-Alcorta, Alan J. Torres-Alcorta, Uriel J. Torres- Alcorta, Angel G. Torres-Alcorta, Alezander Alcorta, Giovanni Alcorta, Mia Ritter, Tai Ritter, Aixa J. Alcorta-Lopez, Anna, Alcorta-Lopez, Amy Alcorta-Lopez, Adrian Alcorta-Lopez Andrea Reyes-Alcorta, Fredy Reyes-Alcorta; great-grandchildren; (Anthony Nieves Aguilar, Yadira Aguilar, Rosie Aguilar, Toni Christina Aguilar, Daisy Aguilar, Hailey Ayala, Luke Inthalangsy; great-great grandchildren; Josiah Aguilar.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Heritage Funeral Home. Visitation will be prior to the service with the reciting of the Rosary beginning at noon. Interment will be at Panteón Municipal de Santiago Yucuyachi in Santiago Yucuyachi, Oaxaca, Mexico at a later date.
