Alma Lucille (Watkins) Boyd age 92, passed away on June 5, 2023. She was born in Japton, Arkansas, on November 25, 1930, to the late Theodore Watkins and Lucille Kilpatrick. Alma attended school in Japton, Arkansas with area coarse work in Madison County. Alma was an active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, and former member of Faith Regular Baptist Church of Arkansas and Fullerton Baptist Church of California. She was a woman of many talents. Alma was an accomplished seamstress, quilter, cook and interior decorator. That said, she prided herself most on being a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, community volunteer and friend who loved to entertain.

Alma was preceded in death by husband of 75 years Loy Boyd; two sons, Gary Boyd and Boby Boyd; granddaughter, Debbie Boyd; sisters, Wanda Faye Miller and Virginia Elsey; brothers, Dean Watkins and Sylvester Watkins.

She is survived by daughter, Earlene Howard of Springdale, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Micheal Boyd of Temple Texas, Mathew Boyd of Dayton Ohio, Sarah Boyd of Springdale, Arkansas and Kelly Jones of Temple, Texas; daughter-in-law, Julie Boyd of Springdale, Arkansas; brother, Corman Watkins of Springdale, Arkansas; sisters, Martha Holloway of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Imogene Ogden of Arora, Arkansas.

Visitation from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm Friday, June 9, 2023 at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel in Springdale Arkansas. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Elm Springs Cemetery with Guy Durkee, Wayne Henson and Jim Epps officiating the service.
