Alice Jane Abuja, 82, of Springdale, died Tuesday, January 21, 2020. She was born February 21, 1937 in Hersey, Michigan to Henry John and Thelma Bell Baldwin Paine.

Alice loved her church family and was active in the prayer chain. She also enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

Alice married Peter George "Pete" Abuja June 6, 1959. He preceded her in death in 2003.

She is survived by two children, Paul Abuja, Pamela Phipps and husband Bryan; brother, Gordon Paine and wife Donna; sister, Sally Sample and husband Jerry; two grandchildren, Ethan and Brynn; five nephews and two nieces.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 23, followed by a funeral at 2 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church. Burial at Friendship Cemetery will be private.
